Halo Infinite 'Streets' multiplayer map revealed in new teaser
Halo programmer 343 Industries has given fans a first look at the Streets map coming to Halo Space's multiplayer in a new press release (courtesy of IGN). The map is designed for 4v4 Loonshit gametypes and is incredibly close-quarters, fast-paced, and asymmetrical in nature. Players can expect lots of short sightlines, tight corners, and verticality, which gives Streets a unique feel compared to other Halo Infinite multiplayer maps like Bazaar, Recharge, or Behemoth.
Streets, which is ready in the streets of New Mombasa at night, also features lots of interesting artistic touches like neon signs, advertisements (including i for a "Holopuppy"), and a Halo Infinite arcade cabinet that plays a tricky version of the Halo theme. Players will also exist able to spot the night heaven throughout the map.
According to IGN, the developers have made it clear that Streets isn't best suited for objective gametypes similar Capture the Flag. Nevertheless, playing Capture the Flag on the map was reportedly an enjoyable experience, so perhaps modes similar Capture the Flag will be available on the map in casual playlists.
2 new maps for Halo Infinite'southward Large Team Battle accept been announced as well: 'Deadlock' and 'High Power.' Deadlock has been described every bit a "very dramatic" map that feels a lot like a classic Halo BTB map, while High Power started out as a "test gym" for the BTB experience and ended up becoming a full map after developer playtests revealed how fun information technology was to play on.
The total Halo Infinite feel, including both the Halo Infinite campaign and multiplayer, is slated to launch on Dec. eight, 2022 on Xbox Serial 10, Xbox Serial S, Xbox 1 consoles, and Windows PCs. The campaign costs $60, only the multiplayer is free-to-play.
